I might have hit the happy holidays jackpot with this dip! It is easy, delicious and so much fun to put together! It would be the perfect dip to bring along to a holiday party or just to make as a family treat for that snuggled up Christmas movie that is on the agenda this week.
There are so many different ways to jazz this dip up, the options are truly endless. Even with the most basic way getting this whipped up and ready in all its festive cheer is about as easy as it gets.
Lets dive into the goods with this sweet recipe..
One of the best parts of this dip is that it costs next to nothing. With 4 ingredients, (and some you might have already on hand), it is a quick and easy and CHEAP festive dish to throw together on a whim. During this time of the year don’t you think that is SO important?
Cool Whip: $1.60
Hot Chocolate: $2.00
Chocolate Chips: $2.50
Mini Marshmallows: $1.50
A dish for under $10?!?!?! Unheard of these days. Of course if you decide to do multiple dippers that bill will go up but still…you can pull this off for under $15 and it is not your average dish for the party!
The hustle and bustle of this season can be incredibly overwhelming. Shopping, wrapping, cooking, etc. etc. etc.
I always try to find ways to make sure I am allowing enough time to breath, slow down and enjoy the true meaning of this month.
With easy and simple recipes like this one it will allow you to do just that!
Hot Chocolate Dip
Ingredients:
- 8 oz Cool Whip
- 2 packets of hot chocolate
- 1- 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips, extra sprinkle for topping
- 1- 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows, extra sprinkle for topping
Directions
- In a mixing bowl mix together the packets of hot chocolate with the cool whip until well combined. You can add more hot chocolate per your preference.
- Once well combined roll in chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
- Devour!
This recipe is good both at room temperature or chilled! It can be made ahead but keep out your marshmallows until just before serving time so that they don’t ruin the texture of the dip.
