7 Simple Dinner Recipes for the Week of 4/2/18
Monday – Leftovers
With yesterday being Easter, we have a ton of leftovers. instead of the usual Ham and sides we decided to be different this year and we had a good, old-fashioned summer cook-out style meal. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and a bunch of different salads. It was delicious, but what was even better was the Strawberry Shortcake Trifle we had for dessert!
Tuesday – Taco Salad from Paula Deen @foodnetwork.com
It’s Taco Tuesday! And this week we’re trying out an old recipe from Paula Deen – I’m sure it won’t be good for us, but I’ll be it tastes delectable!
Wednesday – Breakfast: Savory Sausage Pancakes from AllRecipes.com
Pancakes seem to be all the rage right now – I’m seeing TONS of recipes on Pinterest and honestly, I’m surprised to see so many savory pancakes out there, so this week we’re jumping on the bandwagon and giving these Savory Sausage Pancakes a try.
Thursday – Homemade Chicken Nuggets & French Fries
It’s been awhile since we’ve had these Homemade Chicken Nuggets, so we’re having a fun night of homemade junk food!
Friday – Cheeseburger Pizza from Foxes Love Lemons
I came across this Cheeseburger Pizza recipe while searching for something else, but the picture looks so good, I figured we’d give it a try for our weekly Pizza night. Doesn’t it look so pretty?! Almost too good to eat…Almost.
Saturday – Lasagna Cupcakes
I’m kicking the spaghetti out again this week and having some Lasagna Cupcakes. It has been. FOREVER. since we’ve last had these and the girls are going to be so excited. It’s a great way to make lasagna when you don’t have a ton of time and it still tastes as good as homemade.
Sunday – Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwiches & Garden Salad
While it isn’t super warm yet, it’s starting to feel more and more like spring, so I’m warming up my slow cooker for hot days ahead with this Honey BBQ Chicken recipe.
Bonus: Dessert – Strawberry Shortcake Trifle with Angel Food Cake
I made this Strawberry Shortcake trifle for Easter and it was spectacular! If you have some extra time this week, give it a try – you’re family will love it!
