Are you looking for some new recipes to fill your list of fall menu plan ideas? Look no further – this post contains 8 warm and cozy casseroles and soups that are perfect for dinner on a chilly autumn evening.
We’re having a heat wave here in Vermont. It’s been above 80 degrees for the last several days throughout the Northeast. But, don’t let the weather fool you! The chilly weather will be here before you know it. So, while you’re sitting outside soaking up the last bit of warm, sunshine – why not take a notebook with you and start making a list of fall menu plan ideas? Take advantage of the time you have now! Before you know it, you’ll be stuck eating a frozen pizza for dinner when what you really want is a warm, cozy bowl of soup!
The last year has brought a lot of changes for my little family.
First, we moved to Vermont.
Second, our local high school is in process of closing and my children have had to start anew, yet again!
Third, I have taken on a second (third? No, maybe this one is the fourth…) job as the head teacher of our after school program.
It’s all a lot to take in. It’s the first time that I have taken a job outside of the house since my children were born and honestly, it’s stressful as hell.
No, I’m not giving up on this little blog of mine, nor am I shutting down my Etsy shop!
I’ve worked hard to get where I am with my little business and I’m not giving it up. But, with change number 1 (above), came a bigger house and of course, bigger bills. Plus, my oldest daughter will be starting college soon and well, we all know where the end of that sentence goes! Money, money, money!
Luckily, since I’m working at the school, my kids are able to hang out on the playground or in the library and do their homework while I’m working. It’s a win-win.
Since my hours at the school are in the afternoon/evening, one of the things that I’ve really been working on keeping up with is our dinner menu. I don’t get home until almost 6 pm, so it’s imperative that I have a list of dinner ideas ready to go, so that I’m not running around trying to figure out what to make for dinner each night.
With the last weekend of summer behind us, I thought today would be a great day to share with you some of our favorite fall menu plan ideas. There’s a few casseroles and lots of soups to help keep you warm throughout the fall! So, let’s get started…
