April showers bring May flowers and a free calendar printable, too!
Happy April! I’m sorry that the free calendar printable is a few days late. As I mentioned in the dinner menu post, I’ve got A LOT going on this month and unfortunately, I’m a little behind. But, I didn’t forget about you!
It seems mother nature forgot about us here in Vermont, though. Despite the fact that it was 56 degrees in the early part of the day yesterday, last night we had the great pleasure of seeing more snow in the air, temperatures below freezing and wind that nearly knocked me off my feet when I took the dogs outside.
Spring…when are you going to get here and stay here?
I suppose it’ll get here eventually, but seriously, we still have snow on the ground and according to the weather forecast, more snow to come tonight. Yuck!
While I’m anxiously awaiting spring, I’ve started some seeds indoors and I’m excited to watch them grow.
So far, the cucumbers, baby watermelons, leeks, Brussels sprouts, broccoli and sunflowers have sprouted up. However, none of my herbs have sprouted and the tomato seeds are still buried deep in the soil waiting patiently for more sunshine…much like me.
I keep watching the calendar…counting down the days til the last estimated frost so I can get outside and bury my hands in the soil.
I can’t wait! And if you’re anything like me, you’re counting down the days, too.
