I recently picked up these Butterfly Pea flowers to add to my apothecary because they are packed full of antioxidants and really great for your hair, skin and nails. But, little did I know, I was actually picking up an herb that was going to be so much fun!

How to Make Butterfly Pea Flower Lemonade
Supplies/Equipment:
- Tea kettle
- Water
- Butterfly Pea Tea Flowers
- Lemon Juice
- Maple Syrup
- Wooden spoon
- Pitcher or Half Gallon Jar
Fill your tea kettle with water.
Place butterfly pea flowers into a pitcher or jar. Pour the boiling water over the flowers.
Isn’t the blue color spectacular?! Just wait to see what happens next!
Add lemon juice to the tea…
Isn’t that incredible?! This stuff is so much fun!
Scoop out the flowers.
Add maple syrup to sweeten.
Fill your pitcher or jar with the remaining water.
Throw some ice into a glass.
Pour your beautiful Butterfly Pea Tea Lemonade on in and enjoy!

Butterfly Pea Flower Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients
- 6 cups water
- 2 teaspoons butterfly pea flowers
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Boil 2 cups of water.
- Add 2 teaspoons of butterfly pea flowers to a 2 quart pitcher.
- Pour boiling water over the flowers.
- Add 1 cup lemon juice.
- Scoop the flowers out of the liquid.
- Pour maple syrup into the pitcher.
- Fill with the rest of the water and stir to combine.
- Add ice and enjoy!
