This crockpot southern green beans and stewed tomatoes recipe is the perfect way to jazz up dinner! For us, it’s a holiday favorite but this dish sits nicely with any belly filling plate.
This dish is something we always have accompany Thanksgiving and even Easter dinner. It goes so well with a turkey or ham. However, it would pair perfectly with a hearty roast or pork loin, too!
I have a couple of good crockpot recipes up my sleeve that I use around the holidays or when I am cooking a big gathering dinner. The crocks are wonderful to use for a side because it leaves the oven and stovetop more open for the other parts of dinner.
I usually have all burners going and an oven stuffed! So having this one delicious side cooking away all on its own without much effort other than a stir here and there is really a life saver.
This particular recipe takes several hours so I get it going early morning and let it cook down and do it’s magic while I’m busy elsewhere.
People love all the big flavors that mix and blend together and preparation on my end is easy breezy.
