Dodging Winter Dry Skin With Six Holy Grail Products

Skip the twelve-million step skincare routine and learn how I’ve dodged my winter dry skin with six, easy to find products!

When I tell you I’ve struggled with winter dry skin, I mean it!

Long…harsh…practically 10-month Vermont winters wreak havoc on my sensitive skin.

Don’t get me wrong, winter has been and always will be my favorite season, but the problems I have with my dry, cracking skin in the coldest months are painful and irritating.

So, I set out – EVERY SINGLE WINTER – to every drug store, Ulta, and online skincare website in sight to find products that will help my horribly dry skin.

And let me tell ya…it’s been a long time coming but I’m proud to say I have finally found six skincare products to dodge my winter dry skin!

AND! I’m going to share them with you so you don’t have to spend years finding these holy grail products! (You’re welcome! 😊)

Without further ado and in no particular order… here’s how I take care of my winter dry skin!

Six Holy Grail Products for Winter Dry Skin

1. CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser

I SWEAR by CeraVe products and their Hydrating Facial Cleanser is no exception!

The skin on my face in incredibly sensitive – especially during the winter – and this is the only face wash I have every used that doesn’t leave my skin red and blotchy!

I wash my face twice a day (or I try to haha) and it always leaves my skin feeling refreshed and smooth!

2. CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion

The CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion works amazingly with the Hydrating Facial Cleanser!

It is super light (light enough for both AM and PM use) and doesn’t clog your pores!

Typically, I just use this lotion on my face and neck, but I’ve used it on my whole body before and it is incredibly hydrating!

3. Vermont Soap Sunshea Simply Unscented Body Wash

Call it the Vermonter in me, but Vermont Soap will always be one of my favorite companies! Not only do I know the founder and CEO, but I used to work for his partner in high school!

I was first introduced to Vermont Soap through their Sunshea Unscented Body Wash and it is HANDS DOWN my favorite body wash I have EVER used!

4. Bag Balm

YEP! YOU GUESSED IT! ANOTHER VERMONT PRODUCT!

But in all seriousness, Bag Balm has saved my dry skin for years! And to be even more serious, I put this on from head to toe after I wash with Vermont Soap Sunshea Simply Unscented Body Wash and apply O’Keeffe’s Skin Repair Body Lotion.

HEAD TO TOE right after I wash my face and body!! Seriously. It is a game-changer!

5. LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask

Although a little on the pricier side, LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask is worth every penny!!

I’d be lying to you if I said I only used this lip mask before bed… I honestly apply this about three times a day and it is 100% a swear by, holy grail product!

6. O’Keeffe’s Skin Repair Body Lotion

A few years back, my sister gave me O’Keeffe’s Skin Repair Body Lotion for Christmas and, before using it, I thought it was just a normal lotion.

Little did I know that it would quickly become my FAVORITE!

Right before I get out of the shower – while my skin is still damp – I apply this lotion from the neck down! After my skin is towel dried, I apply Bag Balm over top of the lotion!

The combination of the O’Keeffe’s Skin Repair Body Lotion and the Bag Balm is genuinely a GAME CHANGER!

Although there aren’t any competitions (that I know of) for winter dry skin, I’m sure I’d win every award… cracking, flaking, itching…

If I didn’t have these six products, I guarantee you I would look like an alligator come January every year.

I’m not saying that these products will cure you or heal your skin in any way; they’re just what have worked for me and I hope they help you, too!
