Easy Crockpot Pulled Pork

This easy crockpot pulled pork recipe is a must have for your back pocket!

It is a crowd pleaser and you can make a large batch to feed the masses pretty easily. I pull this one out when we have a lot of meat eaters joining us, when we need a “thank you” for a crowd of helpers for a home project or just when my pork loving husband requests it.

Now, I’m sure this isn’t 5 star BBQ joint level pulled pork but it works just as good to fill our bellies and it is really easy to whip together.

The prep takes under 10 minutes and then the crock does most of the rest. Sometimes a start and forget about till later recipe is exactly what you need. I know it is a life saver for my family of 5 with 3 little ladies under 10. It gets busy under this roof! It also allows me to have more hands on time, rather than just repeatedly telling them, “just a minute!”

Now, there is a couple of things I highly recommend when it comes to amplifying this simple pulled pork recipe..

  • The seasoning. Make sure it’s homemade. It is incredibly easy to pull together a delicious seasoning for your pork and always knocks the store bought packets out of the park. Plus – cheaper. This recipe includes a blended seasoning and I add this only for a level of smokiness.
  • The bun. Now it’s good all on it’s own, so don’t feel pressured to make it a sandwich. BUT…if you do, make sure you get the right bun. I usually go with a potato bun or a pretzel bun. The pretzel bun if my first choice though. The added flavors just make it!
  • The amount of BBQ sauce, and choice! Don’t overdo the bbq sauce, or just opt out all together. For me? I like a bbq pulled pork. I don’t want to drown it though. It takes away from all the flavors I worked on bringing in. So make sure you are using it sparingly!

Homemade French Fries with Balsamic Dipping Sauce

What is a sandwich without a good french fry? I know for me it is usually my go to. Although sometimes I think I should have gotten a salad instead. This homemade french fry recipe is better than a bag of frozen store bought and even comes paired with a dipping sauce!

Loaded Baked Potato Salad

When you think potato salad you think warmer months, right? Well, you can make this whenever and it fits right in with a warm pork sandwich. That cold side might get you craving summer though…so just be prewarned.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Potatoes with Maple Bacon Balsamic Glaze

Even if you have someone in the group that isn’t a brussel sprout lover, this recipe might make them second guess all they have ever known! It is really that good. It’s like brussel sprouts in candy version. It has another touch of pork in it, But that is ok, because it’s totally worth it.

Oven Roasted Garlic Parmesan Asparagus with Lemon

A cleaner option for a side but this asparagus doesn’t lack flavor. It’s refreshing and delicious and not too bad for you, too!

I may have just planned out dinner for you tonight. Don’t thank me now…thank me later after that belly is full and your crew is happy.
