In case I haven’t already mentioned it a bazillion times, the holiday season is my favorite time of year. And since we’re celebrating, I thought it would be a great time to give you some free printable Christmas cards for friends, family and everyone else, too.
To be honest, I’ve been really lazy about sending cards the past few years…
When my husband and I first got married, I was so excited to send out cards for Christmas that year.
And then, when our first daughter was born…and our second. It was exciting to share all of our news with family and friends!
And when I first started sending Christmas cards, I sent them to EVERYONE!
Even those far-away family members that I only met like twice in my life.
It seemed like the right thing to do.
And I enjoyed it.
But, somewhere over the years, things got busy.
I’d write them and then procrastinate on going to the post office…only to realize it was December 24th and I never sent them.
Or I’d just forget about it altogether and eventually, I just stopped sending them.
Don’t be like me!
When you take the time to make Christmas cards for friends and family, it makes them feel special.
Your family and friends really, truly enjoy getting those cards each year!
Whether you get fancy, photo cards printed or you just use a standard card to let them know you’re thinking of them during the holidays.
They love it!
Especially your elder family and friends.
You know, the ones that don’t have social media…
They don’t know that your daughter grew 2 inches this past year or that your husband got a promotion at work and you started your own home-based business.
They don’t see those pictures and posts on your Facebook page or your Instagram feed!
Use the holidays as a time to reach out to your family and friends.
Especially your elders and those that live far away.
Share what’s going on in your life.
Ask how they’re doing and what’s been happening in their lives.
Use the holiday’s as a time to create and grow your REAL LIFE community and kick social media to the side…at least for a little while.
Oh, and don’t go out and waste a bunch of money on mass-produced Christmas cards!
