Tomorrow is my birthday and I am going to be 10 years old.
And 40 years old.
But, the fun part is, I get to be 10 years old for the next 3 years.

Tomorrow is leap year, which makes it my “real” birthday this year.
Since, February 29th only appears on the calendar every 4 years, this will be my 10th leap year birthday. While I’ve actually been alive for 40 years.
Weird, right?
Believe me, I’ve heard all the jokes. And yet, I’ve never received a birthday card that quoted one.
In fact, I know how rare it is to receive a birthday card that actually says something relevant about the day, because in 40 years and 10 leap years, I’ve never received one.
Yes, I’ve received lots and lots of plain, old “normal” birthday cards…
On occasion, I’ve even gotten the silly age cards – you know the ones with a single number on the front, like a 4.
On my sixteenth birthday, a friend of mine thought it would be hysterical to give me the number 4 birthday card, along with a set of my very own baby car keys!
How fun is that?!
But, I’ve never received a single card that even said “Happy Leap Year Birthday” or something stupid like that.
Pretty sad that some card maker hasn’t jumped on that bandwagon, isn’t it?
