Grilled Pineapple Turkey Burgers
Ingredients:
- 8 Pre-made frozen turkey burgers- or 2 pounds fresh ground turkey made into patties!
- 1 fresh pineapple
- Sliced Pepper Jack Cheese
- Sweet Hawaiian Sandwich Buns
- Teriyaki sauce- I used Sweet Baby Ray’s – Sweet Teriyaki
Instructions:
- Start by cutting and preparing your pineapple.
- Slice off the top and bottom
- Trim off the skin by cutting straight down all the way around the pineapple
- Remove all the dark eyes or spots left to the edges of your cuts.
- Remove the core. You can do this with just a spoon! Just cut around the core of each slice and pop it out gently to leave the slice intake.
- Preheat your grill to a medium heat or get your skillet warming with olive oil.
- Grill pineapple slices with a drizzle of teriyaki on each slice for 1-2 minutes or until slightly grilled.
- Cook the burgers for 4-7 minutes on the first side, flip and add a coating of teriyaki over the top and cook additional 4 minutes on the second side.
- Place pepper jack cheese over the top and let the cheese melt down.
- Construct your burger and you are ready to enjoy a burst of flavors!
Fun and flavorful add-ons:
