It’s no secret that I love to make cookies…especially Christmas cookies.

In fact, I usually make so many cookies that we end up saving the leftover cookies for future use.

Unfortunately, this year I just don’t seem to have as much time for baking and so, I’m planning to stick to our family favorites instead of trying out a ton of new recipes.

These recipes are easy to make, require simple ingredients and are ready to eat in less than 30 minutes!

And, since it’s National Cookie Day, I thought it would be a great day to share with you our favorite homemade Christmas cookie recipes…these are the four that I will absolutely stick with this year, although I’m sure I’ll throw in a few others if I can find the time.

Cinnamon Vanilla Cake Mix Cookies 3

Cinnamon Vanilla Cake Mix Cookies

Most of the time I make cookies from scratch. I very rarely use a package mix, but when we need a quick treat these Cinnamon Vanilla Cake Mix Cookies do the trick every time.

They’re delicious and so simple to throw together.

Cake mix cookies are perfect for any occasion.

My favorite way to make these is with cinnamon and vanilla. But, you can alter the recipe however you like.

Use chocolate, strawberry, funfetti or even spice cake mix instead of yellow.

Try different spices and flavor extracts.

Or if you want to make them super special for the kids, add chocolate chips, holiday sprinkles or candy to the mix.

They’ll love them!
