Maple Honey Glazed Brussel Sprouts

These maple honey glazed brussel sprouts might not be the healthiest way to prepare brussels but boy is it a tasty way! It is definitely my families favorite way!

Maple Honey Glazed Brussel Sprouts

I’ve been looking for ways to get some variations of vegetables on the table for my family. So, I tried to make sure we could have both sweet and savory options. And while a classic roasted brussel sprout as a dinner side is delicious, I sometimes want to bring more flavor and wow to the dish!

My husband has always been hesitant on certain veggies depending on how they are prepared, and THIS dish is how I got him to fall in love with these baby cabbages. Now he cannot get enough of them prepared any way….especially this way.

  • 1- 1/2 lb. fresh brussel sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1/ 3 cup butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds

brussel sprout soak

  1. Trim the ends off and halve them. Place into a bowl of cold water with a pinch of salt. Allow to soak for 10-20 minutes for a softer center.
  2. Drain and dry the sprouts. Toss them with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  3. Cook in air fryer at 375 degrees, toss and then another 5-7 minutes depending on how crispy you would like. In the oven you can bake at 400 for 20-30 minutes. I prefer the air fryer for a nice crispy outside and soft inside!
  4. While they are finishing off melt you butter in a saucepan stovetop.
  5. Add in honey, maple syrup and mustard seeds. Cook over low-medium heat until it thickens and begins to caramelize.
  6. Pour over brussel sprouts in a bowl and toss.
  7. Serve immediately.
