The options are endless to manipulate a recipe just how you’d like it. Want more grit to your scrub? Sure! Want more fragrance to keep you smelling divine longer? Absolutely. You can make the products that sit on your shelves customized exactly to you.
Self Care With Homemade Body Scrubs and Face Washes

Homemade Body Scrubs
Coffee Face and Body Scrub
Mix together 1/2 cup of fresh ground coffee with 1/2 cup of brown sugar. Next add 1/2 cup of coconut oil and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
This scrub can go right onto your skin, while avoiding your eyes, exfoliate and then rinse.
Sage and Blackberry Scrub from Suburbia Unwrapped
Not only does this sugar scrub smell heavenly but it is stunning in color too. While blackberries have great qualities like high in vitamins that help in skin rejuvenation the fresh sage brings this scrub to the next level.

Spiced Vanilla Sugar Scrub from Sanctuary Home Decor
This scrub will smell like you are home for the holidays. The perfect blend of ingredients to give you fresh and revived skin even in the dead of winter.

The Turmeric Scrub
Mix together one cup of white sugar, 2 tbsp ground turmeric, 1/2 tsp Vitamin E oil and 1/4 cup coconut oil. Turmeric is known for it’s anti- inflammatory properties so this scrub would be a great option if you are looking for help in that department.
Whipped Grapefruit Mint Sugar Scrub
A scrub so gorgeous you will have to remind yourself not to take a bite. This is a morning scrub being that it has peppermint oil in it which helps awaken your senses and brighten the beginning of your day.

Bentonite Clay Face Mask from Green Beauty Mama
Bentonite is a natural known way to help treat certain skin conditions like eczema, acne or rashes. This clay mask helps treat or prevent a break out but also contains apple cider vinegar which aides in leveling out the ph balance of your skin. All in all it has so many great properties.

Green Tea & Aloe Vera Face Mask from Parenting Chaos
A face mask that is packed with healing properties. This blend will promote hydration and is also has antibacterial ingredients. The aloe makes it a perfect face mask to go to if you have gotten any sun on your face. The rest of the ingredients carry this mask into the yes please category.

Peel Off Charcoal Face Mask from Holly Habeck
I enjoy the peel off masks. I don’t know if it is the act of peeling it off that satisfies me but I always feel great after using one. This 4 ingredient DIY peel off mask is a skin detox dream. It will purify and even help with acne scarring.

Avocado Face Mask
This one is a fun one to do with the kids. It allows them to get a little bit messy in pulling it all together and when you let kids play with food they think it is about the best thing ever! I will sometimes arrange a little spa night with my girls and this is a go to for face masks. Don’t forget the cukes for the eyes though!
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
Blend and apply!
Honey Oatmeal Face Mask from A Cultivated Nest
This mask recipe contains coconut oil which helps promote collagen production! This will help your skin feeling and looking fresh and young. Not only does this mask take no time to whip together but it has beautiful benefits, too!

- Witch Hazel has a perfect balance of helping with oil control and without drying your skin out either.
- Licorice extract helps treat redness or skin conditions that cause your skin to be spotty red such as rosacea.

- Rosehip oil helps brighten and hydrate the skin.
- Lavender oil helps in evening skin ton and packs anti-inflammatory qualities.
