It’s that time of year again! Spring has officially arrived and it’s time to start getting the house ready for summer. I created this handy, little list of spring cleaning tips to help you (and me!) get the inside of the house all clean and tidy without wasting a lot of time.

The idea of cleaning your entire house at once seems a little bit scary to most of us and so, this list is meant to be used in whatever way works best for you.

Start at the top of the list and work your way down or bounce from room to room, if that rocks your boat.

If you are short on time or just don’t want to clean the whole house in one day, you can even break up the plan and do just one room or one “chore” from the list each day for a week instead.

So, let’s get started!

Spring Cleaning Tips – Inside the House

Every Room

• De-clutter – Donate, Recycle or trash items you don’t need, want or use.
• Wipe down the walls
• Dust
• Vacuum/Shampoo Carpets
• Sweep/Mop Hard Floors
• Clean Windows & Screens
• Wipe down doors and hardware

Living Room

• Wash curtains/window treatments
• Clean upholstered furniture
• Wipe down electronics

Home Office

• De-clutter files
• Wipe down electronics
• Clean computer(s) with screen cleaner and keyboard cleaner

Kitchen

• Clean out refrigerator
• Defrost Freezer
• Organize cabinets/pantry
• Clean stove/oven

Bathroom(s)

• Organize cabinets
• Discard any expired medications, cosmetics, etc.
• Make a list of things you need to restock

Bedroom(s)

• Flip mattress
• Wash pillows (here’s an easy trick I found on Pinterest)
• Wash curtains/window treatments

I hope this list of spring cleaning tips helps you get the inside of your house sparkling clean and all ready for the lazy days of summer.
