Sweet and Spicy Drenched Steak Tips

This sweet and spicy drenched steak tips recipe is everything you could want in a napkin using, fill your belly up and satisfy that craving kind of meal. It has just enough bite of spice with a dash of sweet – add in the savory sirloin and the entire family will be asking for more. 

Whenever we whip up these steak tips people are asking for the recipe and once you hear how easy they are you’ll be shocked. 

It is only a handful of ingredients and the prep is next to nothing. 

You can do them stove top or in the crockpot and they are incredibly filling. 

The flavor combination is really different than your average steak tip or BBQ dinner AND they pair well with almost anything. 

Now, just a warning…they are messy, but so worth it.

So roll up your sleeves, grab a stack of napkins and dive in!

Sweet and Spicy Drenched Steak Tips

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Chop the sirloin strips into 1/2″ cubes.
  2. Add to pan or crock pot.
  3. Top with salsa and bbq sauce, stir well until combined.
  4. Add salt, black pepper and garlic powder.
  5. Let simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes or until meat is cooked tender.
  6. Optional: While simmering toast your bread with sprinkled cheese. 
  7. Top sub rolls and serve.

Total Time 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sirloin steak strips
  • 16 oz jar Newman's Own Medium Chunky Salsa
  • 28 oz. Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory and Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Tablespoon garlic powder
  • Sub rolls
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
